Bair Bones is a small and creatively designed Osteopathic Family Medicine practice. Unlike large clinics and hospitals, our single-physician non-profit is structured to provide improved patient access, faster scheduling, longer appointments, personalized care plans, and significantly lower prices. To make things easier and more affordable for our patients, we offer Primary Care and Immediate Care appointments, Osteopathic Manipulative Treatments, a monthly Wellness Plan, and many lab tests and procedures performed on-site.
Our practice is a part of the Wildfire Family Clinic, an integrative health collaborative in Southeast Portland. This eclectic group of highly skilled health care providers offers a broad array of services including Osteopathic Family Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Herbal Remedies, Nutritional Counseling, Massage Therapy, and More! All providers are Independent, and a variety of payment options are accepted.
Though our clinic strives to keep health care costs as low as possible, sometimes needed services are still out of reach. Bair Bones Osteopathic Family Medicine Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to quality and compassionate health care regardless of a patient's background or ability to pay. We donate 5% of all proceeds to our Patient Support Fund, which covers needed medical services for those unable to afford them.
These problem-focused and preventative care appointments are available to new and established patients of all ages. Commonly addressed concerns include respiratory infections, urinary or sexual health symptoms, routine cancer screenings, medication issues, and chronic disease management. We offer many in-office labs including blood counts, basic chemistries, rapid strep, pregnancy tests, urinalysis, HIV, and more. We do not see patients for workers' compensation or motor vehicle claims at this time.
If you need a Primary Care Provider (PCP), Dr. Teresa Bair would be happy to help. These comprehensive visits are available to ages 5 and up, and include preventative care services, management of acute and chronic illnesses, and care coordination with other specialists. Our longer appointments allow plenty of time for hearing patient concerns, reviewing treatment options, answering questions, and health education. Dr. Bair has been especially dedicated to serving women, Spanish-speaking, and LGBTQ+ patients.
Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is a hands-on method of diagnosing and treating a wide variety of health conditions, and supporting overall wellness. OMT is commonly used to treat headaches, back pain, muscle spasms, digestive discomfort, congestion, anxiety, and much more. Patients typically wear loose or athletic clothing, and treatments can be focused on one area or broadened to include the whole body. Services are available to all ages, including newborns and pregnant patients..
No matter what your background is, or what your health needs are, our goal is to make the process of becoming and staying healthy as easy and painless as possible. We've made our appointments longer to better hear your concerns, emphasize health education, and provide the advocacy required to connect you with the services you need. The medical system is not easy to navigate, but we are here to help you throughout the process. We also created a Patient Support Fund to help cover in-clinic services that are financially out of reach for some patients.
We know that your medical needs extend beyond business hours, which is why Bair Bones offers you Patient Ally. This online patient portal allows you to complete intake forms, review your health records, make payments, or get a non-urgent message to your doctor whenever and wherever is convenient for you. Once you've scheduled an appointment with us you'll receive a link with easy-to-follow instructions on how to sign up.
We believe that it takes healthy individuals to make up healthy local and global communities. At Bair Bones we support the community by providing compassionate care and education to all patients, serving patients in both English and Spanish, creating services and pricing with marginalized communities in mind, and establishing a Patient Support Fund to help pay for needed medical care.
